Welcome to the Estate Planning Council of North Central Florida
Established in the 1970s, the North Central Florida Estate Planning Council’s mission is to provide opportunities for wealth and estate planning professionals from various disciplines to interact, share ideas and build relationships that will allow them to better serve their clients and the community. NCFEPC Awarded Council of Excellence from NAEPC
The North Central Florida Estate Planning Council has been awarded the highest honor available to an estate planning council affiliated with the National Association of Estate Planners & Councils - the Leonard H. Neiman and Walter Lee Davis, Jr. Council of Excellence Award. This award recognizes councils who provide a strong multi-disciplinary environment for estate planning professionals within their community. Councils that also truly work to grow their programs and services, and provide an exceptional member experience.
“The estate planning councils being recognized with NAEPCs highest council honor provide an extraordinary level of member service and are contributing to the success of their members, the estate planning profession, and ultimately their community. We commend their leadership for their diligent work and a job well done and are looking forward to recognizing them at the 61st Annual NAEPC Advanced Estate Planning Strategies Conference on October 23, 2024 in Anaheim, California,” NAEPC President Kit McNee said.
Our Council remains committed to our mission of providing top-tier programs, resources, and networking opportunities to estate planning professionals in the North Central Florida area. Our council is a member of the National Association of Estate Planners & Councils, the leading professional organization for estate planners, which provides its 2,200+ Accredited Estate Planner® designees and more than 265 affiliated local estate planning councils and their 28,000 members with ongoing education and a forum for professional networking.

About Our Partner - The Community Foundation of North Central Florida
In 1996, members of the local Estate Planning Council began exploring the possibility of establishing a community foundation for the benefit of the Gainesville community. By 1998, the Community Foundation was incorporated, obtained 501(c)(3) status from the Internal Revenue Service and received its first gift. The Community Foundation is grateful to the estate-planning professionals whose foresight and steadfast commitment to establishing the Foundation will benefit the community for generations to come.
As a professional advisor, you have clients who want to give back. They may be giving with your help or independently, writing checks or using more sophisticated charitable instruments, but many of your clients are donating regularly to the causes they care about. By partnering with the Community Foundation, you can make it easier for your clients to give effectively and maximize their tax benefits. Key reasons professional advisors work with CFNCF include:
- CFNCF is a 501(c)(3) public charity; all charitable donations made to CFNCF or one of our funds qualify for an immediate tax deduction up to the maximum allowed by law.
- CFNCF can handle complex gifts, such as gifts of stock, real estate, planned gifts, or charitable rollovers from an IRA.
- Your clients can set up a named fund (e.g., Smith Family Foundation), give anonymously, or both.
- Local Focus. Broad Reach. Clients can give to any charitable cause, as well as educational and religious institutions, here at home, nationally, and in some cases, internationally.
